Become a Foster Parent: Virtual Information Session

Join Union County Social Services to learn more about becoming a licensed foster parent* and providing a safe, welcoming home for children in need. There are currently 150 children experiencing foster care in Union County and currently only 45 licensed foster homes.

Join a virtual information session to explore next steps if you are interested in opening your heart and home.

Foster Parent Benefits:

  • Monthly Stipend: Covers costs like food, clothing and other expenses.
  • Medicaid: Provides health coverage for medical, dental, and mental health.
  • Child Care: Helps working parents with child care expenses.
  • After School Care: For children 12 and under with working parents.
  • Group Training: Equips foster parents with essential skills and knowledge.
  • WIC: Provides food and support for young children under five.

 *Both parents in the household must present documentation proving either U.S. citizenship or legal residency.
