America 250 Art Contest

The America 250 Student Art Contest, presented in partnership with the Union County Community Arts Council, invited Union County students in grades K-12 to create original artwork inspired by the theme “America the Beautiful.” Students explored what makes America beautiful through visuals of nature, local landmarks, meaningful places, patriotic themes, and scenes from across the United States. A panel of local artists reviewed submissions and selected finalists across grade-level and art categories.

From June 25 through July 6, the community is invited to participate in the People’s Choice voting process by viewing the artwork and selecting votes for their favorite entries. People’s Choice winners will be recognized at the Union County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Monday, July 20.

Thank you to all of the students who participated in this contest and shared their creativity and talent. We appreciate every submission and celebrate the effort and imagination that made this competition a success.
